This session will present the main features of the revised CCIA, including sustainable development provisions, balanced investor protections, right to regulate safeguards, enforceable investor obligations, and mechanisms for dispute prevention and dispute settlement. Understanding the revised CCIA is essential for all COMESA IPAs and government stakeholders who design, adopt or implement investment-related rules and regulations or directly engage with foreign investors.
